The Combat Jack Show Thread

A part of what make the Sunday Service **** work in general as a performance is he already had these gospel and black church leaning/inspired/sampled records to mix in

You could def argue that timing of this was on some olive branch type ****

But it’s not like he just found the black church all of a sudden

This is something he just started doing though. Him going from a house _/loving Trump/Mr. MAGA to black church choir director in less than a year ain't a coincidence. Him and his people know the heat he was catching now he's playing on peoples religion and "forgiveness".

Soon as I saw the lil clip of this BS I knew what it was.

Mal need to get the **** outta here with this Russ caping.

OKC is more talented than Portland and he talking like Russ is playing with Smush Parkers. He must know Russ or cool with Russ people. You can't win with your franchise player shooting in the 30's from the floor and from 3. Especially in this era of weaker defenses.

I peeped the new "Christian" millennial wave out in LA a couple years ago. To me, this is Kanye swimming in that ocean. Like Joe said...it's a hustle. Since everybody on their fake woke **** now...they should be ok with it because it's alot of white dudes out there getting bags doing the same thing.

It's a few of them G-Eazy face *** dudes who rock Zara fits and wear Nike...call themselves "pastors" and got "churches" where all the hipsters, athletes and celebrities attend. Even Kyrie and Jimmy Butler was involved with a couple of them. The same dude who was "mentoring" Bieber or some ****.

It's all weirdo **** to me but I'm not one to pretend to "care" about religion in the first place.

Mal gotta chill with his Russ love.

Homie can't even make layups reliably and you feel like he the best?

C'mon with that.

My _ he even not directing no choirs  :smh:

Phil Cornish the keyboardist directing the music, Jason White directing the choir

It’s basically just a gospel inspired concert bruh

The narrative sound a lot more compelling and could be true but the reality is this is somebody whose been riffing off and sampling gospel his whole career, it’s not like a crazy stretch

The most “noteworthy” records from his previous album were both gospel inspired, one featuring Kirk Franklin. the initial promo of the album itself was that it was “gospel album”

Dawg I'm joking about him being a choir director. I'm not paying much attention to this. I seen a few lil clips of it and just laughed.

At the end of day he's pandering. Right after he was damn near on his knees for Trump in the white house now he catching the holy ghost, black church'n it up and crying on stage.

Don't his pimp mother-in-law got ownership in a church?

**** is crazy. A guy I went to HS with (He grew up drumming in a church choir) , and one my old roommate's cousin (who sung in a choir) were both involved in that Sunday Service ****. Both are in that LA weirdo scene you're referring to.

It's just weird how people can be so up In arms about dude one second, then hop right back on literally a couple months later like **** never happened. The **** that Kanye was doing and saying is inexcusable imo.

But people will seemingly go against all of their "morals" for some fame and noteriaty. I guess. This clout chasing **** is a real thing

The Herpalert segment

I went to the App Store to really see if there was such a thing.

I touched the water  Someone believed that?

I remember my boy told me about the q-tip after he went.

What does Mal do with athletes? He doesn't sound like someone that's around it. But I guess it doesn't matter what access you have, you a hot-taker, you a hot-taker.

befriend them. He's Brandon Jennings(Joe's ex) boy, and knows some others.

back in the Joe Budden TV days. Joe and Brandon were boys when Brandon first got in the league. Joe pulled a D'Angelo Russell of him ****ting on other players, most notably Rubio. It became a big thing.

Mal and Brandon remained friends.
