I think a lot of people are forgetting that this is literally just a group of friends who have regular conversations, just recorded. Outside of the topic list i don't think anyone of them is sitting there fact checking anything (they make jokes about it all the time).

We understand that, but considering this is no more a group of friends as Fox and Friends is a group of people having "regular conversation". They're conversations is broadcast wide across the internet and they have influence on thousands of people, which even they acknowledge frequently the impact they have on people. To reduce that reach in calling them "just a group of friends" is negligent.

They know they have a responsibility to their listeners

There's responsibility that comes with that.

They do try and do research before they gossip about someone or wait for the "facts".

You can't just be willfully ignorant about subjects and then expect to be taken serious about what you deem serious.

Yea, but when you start trying to talk about serious topics and you have no clue about what you're talking about or don't fact check it, then people are more than right for calling you out on it.

I'm still laughing at Mal saying "Lil Kim was 16 on the Hardcore cover" cuz he read it from some random person on twitter. They get so stuck on proving a point they go extra with it.

It literally takes seconds to check something though. When I'm choppin it up with people we do it all the time. Joe and nem will spend 10-20 mins on a pointless debate instead of picking up a phone and checking. You can't be on a podcast talking to 500k+ people and saying something is a fact when it's dead wrong. Like they be saying **** that don't even sound believable at times.
