****The Everything LaVar Ball Thread****

Is he trying to be Reggie Miller with that leg kick!?!? Lol not sure he knows who Reggie even is though. So are these games in the BBB challenge against U18's? Should Gelo be allowed to play (being sarcastic but really he playing against 16 and 17 year olds?!?)

The boys did play better in the previous game against the higher level so maybe they really are progressing.

Melo saucin' on these Lithuanian pros

**** is genius really

Because the masses won't really care about the difference in comp. Most people will just see that they're getting buckets overseas.

I don't know if it's Lavar or his right hand man who came up with the idea but it's working.

So many people just KNEW this would be a disaster...but they finessed the situation to their liking.

Keep it funky - they damn near playing pickup ahainst the local teenagers.

Y'all dudes get hyped for anything

In all seriousness tho, is this actually helping Melo develop and prepping him for the real thing or nah? For Gelo this is damn sure a come up, he out there flourishing and found his niche.

Yeah, it's good to see them playing well but it ain't time to say "Look the master plan is working!". Melo's game still has to mature and hopefully he does that.

So continue playing against kids your age that its extremely easy to drop 30+ on night in and night out, or play professionals?

Regardless of the level of professionals, they are better than CIF and AAU kids. Majority of the kids he would be playing against back home are not even going D1 or D2.

Hard not to see this as a win. The weakest Ball is building his brand, an elite euro club will take him with the exposure that comes with it.

Also, as others have mentioned for Melo this is far better comp, and he can play 3 years or so in Europe and be a first round pick.

You Big Ballers see the vision!

If they were stateside, Gelo would be sitting on the bench at UCLA hearing how he was only there as a packaged deal

Melo would be called a ball hog only scoring on small time high school kids, followed up by “wait until he plays against men in college”

It's great for the brand, but this is glorified pick up at the YMCA. Was hoping LaMelo would develop better basketball habits, but the Lithuanian team is clearly about to milk this for all the money that they can. LaVar already showing how much of a joke it is by joining the coaching staff in less than a month.

Has anyone seen a full game yet? I realize these are highlights. Glorified pickup is all I'm getting out of this. Same competition as California hs ball. At least some of these tier 2-3 games.

Surprisingly gelo has impressed me the most. When it's the non BBB challenge games, he's fitting right in. Still don't see him as NBA quality. But he would have been great at UCLA for four years. Nothing wrong with being a quality NCAA athlete and nothing more.

Still can't tell whether melo is that talented or why no one wants to guard him at the 3pt line. His drive game is more solid than I remember. But he's gotta stop with the scoop style layups.

I realize they bumped him up a year last year so he's really only a hs freshman. He has a couple years to get serious. Never really seen him just ball normal. It's always something crazy or lazy (cherry picking relentlessly).

We'll see. He may be able to shop them to larger Euro venues. At which point, they may be better off busting open the whole Euro and Asia scene. It's all about the end game. Not entirely sure it's the nba anymore. They may make more out there
