I think people believe that Biden is a too run-of-the-mill, too many people lost confidence in Bloomberg, and Warren is just plain not popular enough to take it. So Bernie was a pretty easy choice.

I disagree, I think it's going to be a little bit more competitive with Biden. Bernie Sanders was just going to bring da entire Democratic apparatus down along with him.

Bernie didn't perform because the base he bet on (the 18-35 yo voting block) simply didn't show up. They're the largest voting block today, but they won't get the policies they want if they don't become reliable voters. That's where the blame belongs, not on the "socialist" label.
