The new party that you want to be invited to, is the one that LeBron throws, not that of Micheal Jordan. Outside of his shoes and the memories, there really, truly, isn't anything progressive about Jordan. He simply isn't that it guy anymore. All this documentary has done, is to move the needle a bit so that people can be reminded of what was.
It seems that many people cannot allow their heroes to be human, wanting them to be forever infallible.
Why is it on Ho Grant to "let it ride?" -Horace shouldn’t be doing this everyone is always going to resent “the man”. Don’t matter if it’s teammates or even family. Of course the mystique of Michael Jordan isn’t going to be as strong with the people who have seen him at his most vulnerable. Horace knows that Mike has an image machine around him that’s going to finesse stories here and there. Just let it ride. The people who really respect the game and didn’t need the documentary to tell them the greatness of the 90’s Bulls knows how important Horace is to Mike’s legacy.
...and Horace Grant was the best player on NBA Jam.

I can agree with the "truth" never mattering because it is vs. Jordan; but he doesn't care about that. He just wants to speak his truths.Because it doesn’t matter how wrong or right he is, the narrative and the “truth” will always be that he was a supporting character, not the main character.
To your last point, the only reason it seems that way is because he hardly ever speaks about anything, at all. So yeah, people were interested, especially since Kobe imitated much of Jordan's game and mannerisms. But Jordan's absence concerning media, maintaining a certain anonymity, privacy? Makes it seem as if he is still a star among stars, but once he opens his mouth, he says nothing still.Maybe that is true because right now Lebron is probably the most marketable and recognizable athlete on the planet (give or take a futbol star) and a good portion of the folks on this earth weren't even alive during MJ's first and second 3 peats. These days Jordan is more synonymous with shoes than his accomplishments on the court. Up until this documentary came out you really didn't hear that much from Jordan anymore but one moment that stood out to me that reminded me people haven't completely forgot about MJ was his attendance at KB24's funeral. Even when he was surrounded by some of the biggest entertainers and current and former athletes he was still the star among stars.
MJ didn’t care about Pippen’s contract or scottie sitting out for a play while he was retired. MJ was pissed that he pushed his surgery to the start of the season. All the games that Pippen missed pissed MJ off.look like mike gave horace that ptsd. and regarding jordan calling scottie selfish; it was selfish of him on 2 instances...first his contract that he agreed to and that his agent warned against THAT'S ON HIM. the second was the play phil drew up and he opted to sit out, thats a b!tch move.

Yea I am saying that doesn't matter to him. He wants to clear the air.But that’s the point. You’re speaking your truth vs Jordan’s truth about the same subjects. Who’s is holding more validity, “the man” or “the supporting character”. Horace isn’t picking a winning battle. His truth is only going to fall on deaf ears or to be twisted by media into some type of beef. We don’t need that. What we need is a reunion with both 3 peat teams and a great sit down recalling memorable games and series’ not a he said, he said type of deal because it’s all gonna be rooted in bias at the end of the day.
But it isn't he said she said because the AUTHOR of the book is the one who threw Horace under the bus
He's a bully and has petty ways with people. He'd probably be bought up on charges if he played in this era.Terrible human beings its a bit too far if we start thinking about terrible human beings.
The only person I consider terrible from that documentary is that rapist Karl Malone. He's a bully and has petty ways with people. He'd probably be bought up on charges if he played in this era.
Our definitions of "terrible" might be a little different too.
