"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

Salley is a goof . Why’s he bringing up where each of them were seated at Kobe’s funeral service? That happened 2 months prior to The Last Dance starting, and Jordan was personally closer to the Bryants.

And saying the Pistons would’ve won in ‘91 had they known how obsessed Jordan was with them :rolleyes. I’m sure they thought Jordan had no problem with them, after beating up on him for years. Pistons were done in ‘91–swept. Eliminated in the first round in ‘92. Under .500 lottery team in ‘93. One of the few teams to back-to-back, should’ve 3-peated if not for the NBA. But lots of nonsense that IT, Laimbeer & Salley still talk makes it tough to respect their legacy.

well, that is just man-talk with Salley. you know the type of discussion which prick is bigger than the other. other than that, the Pistons were done after 1990 since year after year, Bulls were finding a way to beat them. in fact, they were lucky that they even won in 1990 with Scottie having health issues. the Pistons were the ones that were desperate to beat the Bulls that they even employed the so-called Jordan Rules as well. but once it became apparent that they couldn't beat the Bulls with any strategy, the Pistons disintegrated. in fairness, the Pistons were a tough team to beat but they couldn't beat a prime and matured Bulls that were killing teams in the playoffs. they could have swept the Lakers if they wanted to. considering the Lakers and Pistons are typically evenly matched.

This^

People forget how close the Bulls were to beating the Pistons in 1990. They went to a game 7 in the ECF and Pippen no-showed with a migraine headache. This could have been another ring for MJ, they would have played the Blazers in the Finals.

Rewatching on netflix and does anyone know why jordan didnt lace his teammates w the signature models? You would think everyone on the team would have them on but jordan is the only one. Pippen had some but during mike first retirement.

Everyone might NOT have been a Nike athlete.
Everyone might NOT have liked how the shoes felt and preferred other shoes.

I'm sure if anyone wanted them and was in a position (contractually) to wear them, they did.

Personal preference and/or brand input?

Pip wore the X, XI & XII. Wennington & Longley wore the XII. Harp stayed in Js. Kukoc wore some Js. Rodman had his own Nike sig, then went to Cons. Pippen got the More Uptempo then his own sig line the final couple years. Randy Brown wore Js.

I'm still waiting for Nike to Retro the Pippen sig line (not the uptempos). I mean come on, Penny atleast got his line retro'ed. it is criminal for Nike not to release retros for the greatest Chicago Bull of all time. Nike suffering from short term memory.
