I wouldn't be surprised at all if cowboy, conor or nick Diaz got the next shot
Then there's always the threat of medical suspensions
Maia is 39 and I'm assuming the soonest he'd get a chance at the title would be late summer. He'd go a full calendar year without a fight which also sucks since he was on such a roll

dana already said nahhh he cant just throw nick directly into a title fight, he said he wants to, it makes money....but its true the MMA community would flip out, especially everyone at 70 he leap frogs after 2 years on the couch.
Nick need that tune up first, got a gang of rust i bet
he's well deserving, he just need to get back in there, generate some hype and snowball it into a draw, with him it would only take 1 fight.
He said no to robbie, Im not sure when he comes back....he's obviously in no rush to fight, he's not hurt for money so its not like he's fighting to make ends meat
I dont really see him taking ANY fights for a while to be honest. Might see him once this year would be surprised if we see him twice.

The UFC has canceled its second show of 2017.
A scheduled March 3 event in Las Vegas has been scrapped, according to the promotion. No specific reason for the decision was announced. The event, which did not have any fights attached to it yet, was slated to air on UFC Fight Pass the night before UFC 209.
Late last year, the UFC scrapped a Jan. 21 event in Anaheim, Calif., as well. The event, UFC 208, was moved to Brooklyn, NY on Feb. 11.
