Jon picked Stipe apart. It seemed like Stipe was just waiting for Jon to do something, then he was trying to react to it and he still got clipped by it. That early ground and pound took it out of him and that body kick was brutal. I thought it was over after Jon landed that right hand that had Stipe moving in slow mo. Jon is too deadly. Hey. Handle their business. Then maybe do that fight. Ankalaev (sp) can test Alex’s takedown.

Aspinall can deliver Jon’s Last major challenge in MMA. Too bad it won’t happen since Jon is asking for F U money from the UFC.

There won’t be anyone at LHW to challenge Alex, really really. And IF Jon beats Tom, no one in HW for him to fight.

My guess is Jon prices himself out of the Aspinall fight and vacates the belt by early 25'. Then with Gane-Volkov fighting at 310 Tom may fight winner for the undisputed belt or they just make Tom undisputed before his next fight.

^^^Thats the crazy thing about the situation.

Jon versus Tom is probably the biggest fight they can make at HW AFTER Fedor/Brock or Francis/Jon.

Not to say no one will accept Tom/Winner of Volkov/Gane 2 but

Going into a new streaming deal…a Conor and Jon/Aspinall shows the UFC can still do huge numbers.

UFC says the gate for MSG was $17 Mill then there’s whatever ESPN pays for the PPV and other media rights.

Jon says he wants Jake Paul money, which is in the neighborhood of $40 mill for the Tyson fight.

The UFC prefers a profit model with most of the money going to the company.

$40 million is crazy and also opens the door for other fighters like a Pereira, Islam, etc.

They could just give Jon the Alex fight and he gets paid whatever or he retires. We went through three years without him. Three years without Conor. They don’t need them. And they’re making money hand over fist.
