The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Has Aspinall ever been 5 rounds in the UFC?

I do like Tom tho, I think he's very likeable and respectful.

So how does he beat Jon?

1 big shot?

That’s the charm. He’s literally had short cage time. That’s telling you the dangers of heavyweight are real when you encounter him.

He’s very hittable. But so fast and powerful it’s over before you can get a chance.

Him and Francis is Russian Roulette.

And the Jon fight is intriguing. Can Jon force him to deep waters or will he Cyril Gane him? Or will Jon just eat dynamite?

Im not saying you're wrong here

But dudes been saying this for 14+ years now....

when do we stop and appreciate greatness?

After Tom, than who?

Doods gonna be bringing up Francis again...

"He ducked Francis"

I dunno. I think Tom is more dangerous than Francis. Just seems faster and as of late fought the best of the best.

Not taking anything away from Francis. Easily top three HW. But Jon would probably wrestle him and then helbow or try to sub him.

Francis got dynamite but I think Jon would try to avoid them. If Francis were a more sophisticated striker a la Gane maybe. But we saw what Jon did to him.

Tom is the best fight they can make. Easily a 500K-1 mill buy PPV. Winner would be anointed as the baddest man on the planet. Jon’s legacy is already cemented. But there really wouldn’t be anything else out there. Meanwhile Tom wins, he gets the rub.

Conor McGregor is a complete piece of ****.

...not surprising that he's the biggest star in UFC history.

I just saw that. Comical on the amount he had to pay even as a celeb with that much money.

Crazy how his wife is pretty much okay with things since they had another kid after the facts. She could be that woman to take half of Connor's income.....or I guess just be treated like princess for the rest of her life if Connor feels bad for what he did.

Well 205 had Conor at his peak and was also the first card in NYC so it had lots of hype around the event itself. I'd say the build to 229 is unlike anything we'll ever see again though with the dolly incident and all the promo to Conor's return.

There was also lots of hype for 202 after Conor had fallen off 200 and Dana kept saying how obsessed he was with rematching Nate.

Conor McGregor found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in 2018 and the punishment is a $250,000 fine.

...that'll teach him.
Only 250K though?? I doubt this teaches him that much and the article also shows he posted a tweet saying he's going to appeal.

I'm also convinced he and Dee have an open relationship or some other understanding with the countless vids of him partying and engaging in other sorts of debauchery.

I swear I think I saw UFC 205 but I don't remember it being that crazy of a build up. UFC 229 on the other hand was definitely hyped up.
Despite the news today…

That was peak Conor. First MSG card, Conor coming off the Nate Diaz win and attracting one million PPV Buys on every card he was on.

Being someone who watched a dude with one boxing glove in UFC one…it was an incredible time with Jon, Ronda, Conor and a returning Brock (that one time).

Conor was riding a high. Crazy how active he was. Aldo in December. Diaz (though it was supposed to be RDS) in Spring. Then the Nate rematch. Then fighting Eddie.

Winning that second title and the UFC letting him fight McGregor was the beginning of the end. I can’t believe Conor and Jon aren’t buddies considering how despicable they are as humans.

She probably accepts it because of how rich he is. Despite the embarrassment. They have like four kids together. She’s not going anywhere.

And I guess the civil law in Ireland isnt as crazy as the US.
