The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

I was kind of hoping Jorge would jump into that fight.

He wanted that fight at 155 and now they're both at 170.

At 155, he should be able to compete, but he doesn't have the complete toolset to be a force at 155 like he can be at 145.

Says who? We haven't even see him fight @ 155 besides once or twice in Cage Warriors.

You're really just throwing **** and hoping that it sticks, :lol

If he goes in there and puts RDA to sleep, then what?

Here's the thing, you don't need to be a complete fighter to dominate in this sport.

I saw Anderson make dudes look SILLY for years and his takedown defense was complete garbage.

Saw Aldo get by w/ weak cardio forever, all these dudes have weaknesses for the most part.

Besides Bones, Jose was definitely up there as P4P. Yall tryin to act like it's a joke for him to be considered now

And yea, dudes in here acting like Aldo wasn't up there in the discussion for #1 P4P are funny.

Same dudes that were probably saying Conor had no shot against him, :lol

Aldo was always 2-3 ..ive always had jbj as my number 1..dj and Aldo were interchangeable to me. Conor put him to sleep. If he does the same to RDA... Goat

The Brazilian cowboy has filled in for means, now we will get cowboy vs cowboy lol

I was wondering if this matchup would ever happen. Can't wait.

And you acting like that's what most people posted. Yeah aldo had a long reign and was a beast but rda has looked better in his performances the past year or two. rda beat a former champ (henderson), beat the champ (pettis), and cerrone who is a tough fight. aldo beat llamas and had trouble with mendes in their second fight.

Exactly. JBJ was the clear cut #1. Then Aldo or DJ as #2

But bones was always #1 so it's not really up for debate.

Aldo is the greatest featherweight ever. Period.

I'm sorry, do you have a point?

What does this have to do w/ Aldo and his placement on the P4P list?

Who's disputing that RDA has looked more impressive over the last year or so?

A ton of fighters have looked more impressive than Aldo over the past 2 years, dudes only fought like 3x in that span, :lol

Yeah. Trying to go back and call Aldo the P4P best now is just revisionist history. And I wouldn't give Conor goat at all with a win over RDA but he'd definitely be among the great fighters.

Anyway, I just want to see a good fight, I really couldn't care less who wins. I don't hate the guy as much as the haters and I don't love him as much as the d-riders. And he took a hell of a tough fight with RDA so it's hard to be mad at the guy at all. I'm just interested to see what happens.

Yeah, my point was it didn't seem like people were posting about him not being one of the best on an imaginary p4p list. You going in circles with just repeating what I posted.

145 been around a long time before UFC and WEC did it. Y'all are being shortsighted with all the GOAT nonsense.

Praying that Hendricks doesn't Alvarez, Wonderboy

Nobody wants to see that
if he's smart thats prob what he's gonna do or clinch work, hes dangerous there as well.

and this p4p list that ppl get so up in arms about....doesn't even exist, its a marketing tool

*skims through last few pages* if I'm getting this straight Josie Aldo was basically Dolph Ziggler.... enhancement talent?

No and neither would RDA.

Conor has been the bigger guy fighting at 145 with the majority of his opponents not only being shorter, but also significantly lighter after rehydrating. At 155, he should be able to compete, but he doesn't have the complete toolset to be a force at 155 like he can be at 145.

As it stands RDA is the best fighter in arguably the deepest division. If Conor beats him and holds two titles i don't see how he isn't #1 p4p.

not at all but im speaking for myself. others may feel different

but the ufc and the journalists do a good job of overhyping certain fighters to get em over like barao before dillashaw, he was being hailed as p4p #1...where is he 2 fights later. styles make fights and a fighter could get favorable matchups for even damn near 10 years. hell dana was pushing pettis as a top p4p, even cain was getting it

aldo was whooping everyone but whether they admit it or not alot of them were flustered by the "hype" before and thus aldo had em mentally beat without saying a word...fast fwd to conor going insane with his mind games and getting in aldo's head leading to him rushing at conor. he sacrificed defense for offense and u can't do that.

So basically what you're saying is that there was a method to Conor's disrespectful smack talk that gave him an advantage in the ring?

You don't say.
