Doesn't make sense to do it this year in a weak draft but next year though

Heard Lakers trying to trade DAngelo Russell to get back into top 5 or 6 pick

The only scenario I see the Lakers trading Russell is in a package deal to obtain a proven veteran all-star such as Paul George or Jimmy Butler
I would do it only under these two conditions:The only scenario I see the Lakers trading Russell is in a package deal to obtain a proven veteran all-star such as Paul George or Jimmy Butler
im hearing PGeorge for DRuss and no. 2 pick of the Lakers,,i think its too much of a loss for the Lakers
I would do it only under these two conditions:
- If they found a way to orchestrate another trade that would land them a top 7 pick in the draft that can land them either Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield for outside shooting purposes. Randle for the # 4-7 pick?
- If they somehow knew they would also sign big time FA's such as Whiteside, Conley, AND Harrison Barnes
I would take this lineup anyday of the week:
PG: Conley
SG: Hield/Murray
SF: George
PF: H. Barnes
C: Whiteside
with Clarkson, Nance, Black, and maybe even a Festus Ezeli off the bench
The Ringer NBA draft pod is trash especially Jonothan Tjarks, dude called Sabonis a fantastic athlete and a way better athlete than Poetl?? wut
awwsome swears everyone in the league is gonna flourish
wish we all had that kind of optimism
I never understood the logic ...id trade russ and that pick for paul george ANY day of the week . Like why wouldnt you take the gauranteed allstar probably top 10 player in the league?
$92 million in 2016.Do you even salary cap bro?
