The NBA Draft Thread

Fultz is basically brandon roy reincarnated. Dude's midrange and poise is very advanced. He's also kinda slow, but picks his spots very well.

That's actually a really good comparison. He's more athletic than Roy but they have very similar games.

Looks athletic on his chase down blocks, but offensively he plays more of a smart and smooth game than an explosive attack one.

he looks athletic on everything. he has a good control of his gears in a half court setting. he knows how to play without being on turbo all the time. but he's definitely not slow. his explosiveness and athleticism is a primary reason why he's such an elite prospect.

Brandon Roy was also explosive.. he was just so fundamental he didn't have to use it as often as others who depend on it

I'd say fultz has the edge athletically but honestly can't remember Roy at fultz age

I think how advanced and poised he is offensively combined with his age is the primary reason why he'll go #1 overall. He's definitely athletic, but i dont see the elite explosiveness (Westbrook, Harden, Wade, etc) you're talking about.

Westbrook and Wade are/were elite athletes. Harden though, nah. Fultz

They'll likely go 0-5 although the Knicks game may be a win.

I just can't believe how garbage your team is. We've literally been TRYING to suck every year but this year and we've still had to battle it out with you guys for top 3 picks. And now somehow you guys STILL suck even with all those picks and a few solid vets.

Orlando gon miss out on a top pick AGAIN ...only time they got a super high pick in this rebuild it ended up in the worst draft class :lol :{

Never really got the Jayson Tatum appeal.

Ball stopper who lives on low percentage shots, also his athleticism doesn't really show in the half court.

Didn't get it in HS, don't get it now.

Lou Williams is having one of the best seasons of his career, Nick Young is having his best year in probably 3-4 seasons and you paid Deng and Mozgov a lot of money because they are good, solid vets. It seriously makes no sense for them to be THIS bad again.

They are not as bad as they seem.

Injuries and a terrible schedule, on top of the normal growing pains of being a relatively young and inexperienced team. Have to remember that 7 of the 12 players they regularly run have 3 or less years of experience. 8 if you count Thomas Robinson who is in his 5th year, but for all intents and purposes plays nothing like that.

The 2-14 in December is what really killed them. 4-8 this month, which is generally more around what they are as a team.

Lou while having a solid individual season, is propped up by some monster games that negate 2 or 3 bad or mediocre games, since having added more in his role, he's shot the team out of as many games as he's kept them in.

Deng isn't a good fit in the starting lineup (defense from him has been fine) it's more so that he routinely blows open 3s from all over the floor.

But being "THIS bad" and what they realistically should be is maybe 4-5 games in 3 months of basketball.
