The NBA Draft Thread

Issac at sg?? :lol :x

Sixers need to draft a guard , they should even be looking at bigs right now ...they winning games n the Lakers losing, Philly gon mess round n miss out on a top guard prospect :lol :{
That's cool tbh. Like it all depends on what kinda player Simmons is gonna be. If he's going to be your primary PG, I wouldn't mind just drafting a pure sharpshooter, and then signing a Jrue holiday in FA to pair with Simmons as a secondary SG/PG that can take some pressure off of him but can also hit and create his own shot

If the sixers luck out and keep both picks and Fultz is off the board. I'd probably draft Fox and Monk. They seem like they both have great chemistry together.

Not worried about Fox's poor shooting. The mechanics are there.

Depends on if they really want Simmons being the team's primary ball handler. If that's what they want, I'm not really sure Fox being off ball makes a ton of sense. I do think he's going to be a big time player though.

It's so hard to judge until we see a few games out of Simmons. Either way, Monk seems like the perfect fit and Tatum seems to be a good complimentary player.

Simmons hasn't even played and people are expecting him to do something that hasnt been done since Magic Johnson. It's one thing to be a Odom/Draymond or even LBJ type of ball handler on a team. It's another to be the full time PG.

I'm not as high on Simmons as alot of people here. Very hard to integrate a primary ball handling PF who cant shoot, when you have a dominant go-to center.

The thing with Simmons is that his absolute ceiling is a Magic Johnson type player but I personally am not sure what his floor is. We can't compare him to green because he can't shoot.

As for Monk, would it be fair to say his ceiling is CJ McColum and floor to be a solid 6th man who can get a ton of points in a short period of time?

Josh Jackson had himself a game tonight. Makes winning plays. Wouldn't have any problem with him going #2 overall...

Lol seems like he's trolling. But still. I'm counting on the Kings to implode so we nab the #1!

Honestly if this was 5 years ago, he would go as high as 2 without a doubt. But today's NBA needs shooters first and foremost. That being said, he will have a big I pat on any team that chooses him and will have some gms regret passing on him.

He's so good at everything else, that even if he's just an average shooter, he can be a star. He's a great scorer in the paint. Being 6'8" and athletic definitely helps.

Fultz, Monk and Josh Jackson are probably the best fits for what the Sixers need out of their top draft pick

Also, I don't understand where this whole "Josh Jackson can't shoot" thing always comes from on here. I see this dude with nice form knock down deep 3's and even pull-up/turnaround jumpers every game I tune in of his.

JJ shoots 32% from college 3, 56% from the line. He's not the best fit.

Ben Mclemore has nice form too.

I didn't realize his free throw shooting was that bad :lol I'm not saying he's Klay Thompson but he sure as hell doesn't have a broke jumper.

But I give McLemore and pretty much all young Kings players a pass...that team has been a mess for years. McLemore isn't 6'8 and doesn't rebound, defend, get to the basket or give the type of effort that Jackson does though. They're both just wing players that jump really high that have played basketball for Kansas.

Josh Jackson quickly becoming one of my favorite Jayhawks of all time. Love the way that he competes. Coming in to the season I had heard over and over about this kids motor and I thought it was over blown and hype but that is the truth. He doesn't quit. Straight DAWG status.
This is pretty much how I view him. Just don't see how he isn't going to be a really good NBA player with that kind of motor on top of his athleticism and skillset. Whether he's a great fit for the Sixers, I'm not so sure, but I think he's going to be a stud.

With that type of motor and the effort he gives he'd be a Philly fan favorite right away

I need him to clean up the fro though :lol that **** is getting outta control right now
