I'm not trying to jump on the Laker Bandwagon, and I haven't read much of this thread, but it's sae to say that Kobe is refusing to lose.
The Celtics haven't played any good offensive teams in the playoffs but have played 20 games already. Unless Allen and Pierce play well this whole series,I don't think the Celts can take the Lakers.

if Scal gets into the game, it'll be good news to me, cuz it usually means they're up by 30......
Fastbreak last night was talking about just that, that Rondo likes to hang out near the baseline and Clev and Det never really ran the ball on them. TheLakers will run if Rondo stays on the baseline.
If Rondo stays up top and away from the baseline, that's still good for us as it takes him away from something he is comfortable with and it looked like hewas pretty good comin up with those offensive rebounds for a point guard.
We really need to keep Ray and Rondo locked down as much as possible. If the Celts are going to pin their hopes on KG comin up huge in the biggest series ofhis life.......I'll take my chances with that. If he beats us, then tip your cap and say nice job. Nothing more you can do. But I'd take Kobe makinmore late buckets then KG anyday of the week.

Who cares about the past matchups, these are two totally different teams from what were seen in the regular season, and the Kobe that played in those games vs.Pierce is another person now, he has evolved, transformed if you will and is THIRSTY, STARVING for a championship, and I just believe in my heart of heartsthat he WON'T be denied. The Black Mamba will show no regard for Blood34, KG's lack of a title, or his supposed feud w/ Ray; Mamba NEEDS this for hislegacy, even though he won't publicly say it, he does.

There are four guys in this series that NEED this. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending how you look at it, three of them play for one team. I just hopethat need of 3 prevail.
And I think KG will cover Odom for the most part, but we'll probably see a lot of switching. Odom has to watch his post moves/pro-hop type stuff in Boston.He'll be getting whistled for a lot of travels if he isnt careful.
