These are really Clowney’s career sack numbers....

And dude is asking for a long term 20 mill per year deal.

Can't lie, I'm still thinking Clowney is gonna have that 23 sack season

We all think this is possible from Clowney but he’s never actually shown it. His last year at South Carolina dude had 3 sacks in 11 games. Still went #1 overall cause of his potential.

Clowney is in a weird dilemma, cause what he’s great at, doesn’t actually show up on the stat sheet, despite that 1 hit in college supposedly being what he’s should bring every play. He may have to take a Phillip Rivers deal from a team he may not actually want to go to, then re-up from there.

Dude is still consistently up there with pressures, right?

I mean can’t always can’t on sack numbers.. but if dude is consistently disrupting the offense then that’s huge impact

but can’t Judge solely on sacks.. you got some dudes who will sell out the whole D and then you got scheme responsibilities

Yup, Nick Bosa won defensive rookie of the year and was one of the best defenders in the league and only had 9 sacks

It'd be like saying a corner isn't that good because he only had 2 or 3 picks.

Who are these bum fans saying no?!
Me.
Sanders on a rookie deal>>>
Dude has the potential to be one of the best backs in the league (if he isn’t already). Plus we got the draft coming up with a star studded WR group. Paying top dollar for a WR almost never leads to a SB win

Clowney should have taken that 17 from Miami

Him and his agent should have know albeit being a great player...lack of sacks (if not paired with another good edge guy) would hurt his market.

I mean it gotta be a lil more to it.. cause people didn’t just look at INT for byron Jones.. not saying he should get 20 cause I only think a handful should (i mean I hope he does.. but just being practical in a salary caped sport)

but 17 is a good number for him and being in Florida without extra taxes is nice

He has the potential to be one of the best backs in the league vs. an ACTUAL top 3 WR in the league. When, if I may remind you, all Eagles fans have cried for WR help while using 17 different RBs. The last 2 years have had deep WR drafts yet the iggles keep messing that up.

Ok, good to know.

(side note) If he isn't one of the top backs already, where the **** did this guy come from?!

He sure should have. Would have been sitting nice sitting under that defensive backfield. Please let me know when he gets $20 mill per season from someone.

Could have fit nicely in a Flores defense.

Clowney isn't elite on pressures, he's just good. He is elite on run stuffing though.

Don’t even think he’s top 5...

i been here my guy  been in this thread all season. Agree to disagree.

but let’s just take my words out of context. Would I rather have DHop than Miles Sanders? Yes, I’ve said repeatedly he is THE best WR in the league. But we can’t act like contract dont exist. He’s gonna be the highest paid WR in the league when his deal is up. We still have a guy like Ertz to pay. And like I said, paying a superstar WR top dollar almost never leads to a super bowl trophy

We don’t actually know if miles and anything was actually something BOB wanted

maybe he did value David Johnson in a manner no one else did
