Mark my words, you’ll still be making excuses for Darnold in year 7

Year 3 now will be telling for sure. I think the investment in the offensive line plus bringing in Perriman, drafting Mims, a healthy Herndon, etc should help him make that jump.

Unless of course Gase continues to be a disaster, which I'm sure he will be.

this goin be interesting

Hell nah.

If I'm a GM I am NEVER paying a back big money unless their name is Barkley, Elliott, or McCaffrey.

Maybe Bell in his prime, and for as much as we rag on the Rams I see why they paid Gurley.

Doesnt Cook have some of the fields and injuries too? He's nice but nah. Teams need to follow that 49ers approach to running backs.

**** Dabo Swinney too. He sound like a another white good ol boy that thinks because there's some rich black people and we had a black president, black people should just shut up and be grateful.

His players better do something. He's basically tryna tell them what to think, feel and say. Sound like a modern day slave owner.

problem with gurley was his knee was an issue before he got in the league

Barkley and cmc would be the only ones for me.. gotta be a legit runner with 1000 yard receiving ability.. can’t just be a slot or dumpoff/screen threat

then it depends on price with Henry, Chubb, zeke and kamara

Imagine caping for Darnold in 2020, reminiscent of bears fans last year with Mitch where everyone BUT bears fans knew he was ***

Darnold > Mitch 10/10x.

For NY comparison sake, you guys are telling me with a straight face you rather start your team right now with Daniel Jones over Sam?

Cook is very injury prone and just had his first decent season. I understand this is a negotiation and he’s posturing, but if he’s offered anything north of $10M/year he should take it.

I still don't know what to make of Sam Darnold but it's weird how some will take Mayfield after underperforming with Odell ****ing Beckham, Nick ****ing Chubb, Jarvis Landry, & Kareem Hunt.

"He HaD fReDdIe KiTcHeNs & A bAd Ol"

What exactly has Darnold had?
Where are you seeing stats like that?

We don't know if Darnold is the guy. All the tweet says is he was a fine QB after returning from his illness despite being pressured on nearly half his throws.

I feel like I've been realistic with Darnold.

Do I want him to be the guy? Yes. Has he shown enough that I can confidently say he's the QB for the next decade? No.

This year will be telling. He has to step up this season.

Dalvin Cook is WILDING. He better take whats offered or meet halfway. As said only Saquon and CMC who look to be HOF type talent should be getting that money. CMC especially could even play a slot receiver once he slows down as a RB and Saquon has the talent to play the slot too.

To say he doesn't have the potential to be this teams FQB is just silly. I think that's the point I'm trying to make without bias kicking into gear.

Your gonna quote ME with some videos :lol

I've watched every pass in Darnold's career man. It's a make or break season for him

He's showed absolutely nothing his whole career outside of some glimpses of potential

That's it.

I hear you and I agree Year 3 is v important for him. I also think even if he doesn't make that huge jump that the franchise is calling it quits on him entering 2021.

having that extra year on the rookie deal would factor in way too much in the daniel vs darnold decision

i think darnold is the better player.. but got zero legit clue really on either.. although i'm pretty sure i'd rather either of em over baker
