Phil Knight was an investor in the old Will Vinton studios, became controlling shareholder, eventually rebranded it to Laika. His son Travis was an animator, vp/pres, producer, and director at Laika.

Despite the coraline dunks coming out prior, I had never really made the connection until the Paranorman Foams.

They (susans) look pretty amazing to me in the official pics, I really like the color palette and materials used. I don't think I could pull it off on-foot but will definitely be buying a pair (maybe two) by any means necessary. In other words, resale on StockX.. lol

A week after my daughter was born, I mentioned that I was looking for the Red Silt Pinnacles bc they were a pink/purple color and I wanted to match my daughter and she wears those colors a lot. I couldn't find them anywhere. It was like they disappeared from the internet the day she was born. 3 days later I get a box with those and the black/white adventure pack looking pair in a box. They were in his pile to cut open and dissect but he spared their life and sent them to me so I could match my daughter. How awesome is that? He didn't have to do that. Such an awesome gesture and I think of him every time I wear them. I know that sounds corny but it's true.

Props to him for doing that, and for his collection in general, but having no idea of all that backstory and watching this thread go off the rails for a couple pages doesn't really get him any NT karma from me. If Tinker himself came in here and started acting the fool and causing all sorts of issues I'd ignore him, too. Just sayin'.
