I have the velvet laces in my mellows and they stay tied. I haven’t decided what laces for the heavys yet.
No problems thus far.
If anyone else had a dark pair like these in an 8.5 or even a 9 I’d gladly take them off your hands. I prefer them like this, but all pairs I see are light.

The Sea Dweller is much more wearable bc it's not near as thick as the deep sea. I'm a bigger guy do anything less than about 42mm feels small. The thing that makes the deep sea such a beast is the thickness. You can see it better here.
