Need to post in here more often, just finished watching the first season of Baki. I'm really happy and hopeful they'll continue to animate more arcs after the second season wraps up (Pickle?) but the romance scenes were awkward as hell for some reason. Not even sure how they could fix them but I dont remember the manga giving me the same feeling during those parts

Makes sense, I didn’t see an actual sex scene though just dates and them making out multiple times. Just felt odd transitioning from a violent battle scene to them on a date being all nervous. i re-watched Dragon Ball last year, and I'm currently almost 1/3rd of the way done with DBZ..
and i gotta say, DB > DBZ tbh. Or, the first 70 episodes of DB > the first 70 episodes of DBZ.
The Saiyan Saga in DBZ feels rushed now that I watch it as an adult. Im at the Namek saga right now, and it feels much better.. Im at Captain Ginyu vs Goku
but I gotta say, Goku's adventures as a kid in DB felt more intense so far. The first 9 episodes of DBZ are really crazy though cuz it's such a shock with how things got
