just started watching the OG Gundam on Netflix. series is like a remastered/repurposed version of Macross/Robotech. it's ok but it's not my favorite since I will always that affinity towards the SDF-1 and Rick Hunter + his VF1-S. the triple transformation is just so bad-***.

Marvel could probably do that Eren story better.
I hated how Eren turned out. I hope they explain his situation better on the second half, he became an extremist out of no where.

I'm looking for a new Anime, has anyone ever checked out Mushoku Tensei? I heard good things about it. So far I'm down to Promised Neverland season 2 which I'm almost done with and waiting on the Demon Slayer season to finish out.

eren has been an unlikable douche from the beginning. him turning into a genocidal maniac seemed like a natural transition.

Struggling to resist the temptation to read the rest of JoJo's Stone Ocean while waiting on Netflix to release the second part of the season.

Has anyone here read part 7? Do I need to have finished Stone Ocean or is it more of a standalone part?

G Gundam with Heavy Arms and Wufei? Don’t tell me that’s on Netflix?

Gundam Wing had Heavy Arms and Wufei Chang. It's on Hulu at the moment but the sequel movie isn't.

sneeker sneeker is referring to the retelling film series of the original Gundam tv series that take place Universial Century timeline. That's on Netflix. Alot to get through since the canonical sequel films are also on Netflix

Not to me, he used to be a Reckless, emotional, and stubborn. Now he's just a unsociable and callous douchebag. Completely different character traits and they didn't give a good explanation on what let to this other than that scene when they discovered the ocean and all the sudden, his tuned changed. Reminds me of Daenerys Targaryen unrealistic transition.

Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz are amazing
That used to be on tv here when I was a little kid. When it finished they just kept re-airing the whole thing over and over again, I saw each and every single episode 3 or 4 times in elementary school

This collection is a lot bigger than what I’ve seen so far. Fan of that black varsity

Hmm
I’ve read the whole manga but I don’t recall being surprised about Eren’s behavior. He’s been a psycho since he was a little kid.

Eh, I feel like both of the character traits transitions were explained its just it was poorly executed and poor writing in Game of Thrones with Dany and largely did not make sense. She was displaying traits she never had. Also it's not even like she went mad like other Targs had. This was just some weird jealousy taken to the extreme that did not track with previous recent actions and logic. They needed more episodes and seasons to develop that sort of change. Not 7 episodes.

In AoT, it's a bit different cuz they have this never explained scientific/mystical system of ppl inheriting the memories of past titan users and the fact that Eren as one of the founding titans gets the entire history of all past users. Then on top of that apparently he saw his entire future and how everything played out.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy sort of thing. Once you get hit hard with pre-determinism and that free will doesn't exist especially when the outcome leads to your main goal you most likely will give in and not fight it. So he basically leaned in to being unsociable due to the truth he wasn't going to reveal and was a callous douchebags so he could insure he was a villain to everyone.

To me with Eren, the whole memories, knowing all the history, and seeing the future explained his change in the end.

Maybe the Manga fleshes it out more. In the Anime, he was always spunky and courageous. As an adult, he seems alot more subdued and calculating.

The situations are completely different, it just feels similar in which both characters changed with little explanation and it feels forced for the plot line.

I can understand how his visions changed his thought process, I just wanted to see the progression rather than going from brash and principled Eren to nihilistic and callous Eren. If it's an exhibition of character study, than I want it to show more of the process of change rather than just showing us the final outcome.

Well I blame that on there being a time skip. Which at times is the easy way to skip over character development when the plan is to drastically change characters.
