Just finished Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica. Time for the movies 
Yo, on some real ****. From someone who was vehemently against the idea about watching an anime about middle school girls saving the world. If you value plots with depth, do yourself a favor and watch this. Seriously. You'll walk in apprehensive, and find yourself mind blown by the fifth episode. Do it. I don't know where I rank this yet, but I COMPLETELY understand why some regular members in this thread have it as their favorite anime of all time or at least their top 5's.

Glad to see you enjoyed it, the magical girl aspect is usually the main killer when it comes to recommending it to someone but seriously, if you look past that, the series is actually really deep.

I mean, just thinking about magical girls conjures up the image of Sailor Moon (probably my first anime ever ) and Power Puff Girls and sappy cute shows like that geared at girls and weird Japanese men, so the quality here is literally unforseeable. I'm glad you guys brought it so frequently, or else I would still be sleeping on the greatness to be found here

Lol its cool watching someone being recommended to watch a show, feel uneasy about it, watch it and love it and then start to recommend it as well. I'll check out the magical girl show once Im done with these Attack on Titan episodes

Just go and switch to that sub man. I caught up to the dub and switched over and regretted even watching the dub. The voice acting is of much higher quality because translating things to english some gets lost in translation or some parts don't hit emotionally as they should. Plus it's gonna be a while before more dubbed episodes come out and you're not gonna wanna wait to see what happens next cause everything is still building up to be bigger and better.

I had a feeling that he purposefully wanted to juxtapose the innocent appearances of your stereotypical magical girl with the plot. Son is cold blooded for letting her happily design away while blissfully unaware though
