Titanium is on that table too, why not get a titanium chain? Copper is on it too. It is cheaper and you could get it gold plated and it would look exactly the same and actually be harder. Or do you want the gold because of its value? Maybe that is why people choose diamonds over moissanite or CZ.

You claim that you like gold for its properties, but the only useful property that it really has is conductivity. It's value is based on its perceived rarity.
