Yes people who really love hip-hop jewelry or really love a certain label or piece will search those pieces out in a years times. But that's relying on the hypothetical that people from this generation will grow up, get money and still care enough to go collecting that stuff in any significant numbers while a Murakami piece (remember, like I said, this is essentially a personal piece of art designed for Kanye that just happened to take the form of wearable jewerly) has that value already added to it by virtue of the name of the artist. Let's look at it this way: Do you think they'll ever be an auction at Sotheby's selling old Jacob pieces? Do you think Kanye's piece might make its way there once Murakami's collection starts being sold off? The latter scenario is a lot more likely.

I personally love the murakami Jesus. It's all subjective though so its not even worth arguing about. Ive seen some trash on here I would melt in a heartbeat if I found it on the street. I think the new jersey devil piece is ice cold as well and would love to see that piece done with someone who had no budget when they did it. All the space in between the stones, ect..

I still can't believe I used to rock 2000 gram set up on a weekly basis but I was also mentally ******ed and had to wear a towel.

shayan, jacob or lorraine made the first murakami, we made the 2nd one. but he never talks about who makes his jewelry ever. I haven't heard him say jacob in a really long time. but I love seeing Lorraine hating Jacob and talking #@#! on him heavy.
