I went up a half size in both the Kobe 8 and Kobe 9 elite and low. They fit short in the toe

I went down a half size from the 8's to the 9's.

Those "metal things" are Brannock devices and some of the cats in here sound like they need a good measuring

...and don't let the dimwits forget the arch pointer on the side. You match that with the ball of your foot to find the best size for your arch. Can deviate a whole size from your length measurement. Say you measure a 12 in length, 13 arch...you're a 12.5.

Actually...don't trust them to do anything. Google "Brannock Device" or check it on youtube and learn to do it yourself.
