Not sure Jimmy to Memphis happens, but want to add some color:

- the package definitely isn’t including any of Memphis PRIME assets. No Bane, no GG, most likely no Santi either

- BC, Kennard, Smart and Konchar are the most likely players in the deal (maybe Jake instead of BC if Memphis prefers that). I do think a 3rd team will need to get involved to mix up some of the assets because I think MIA only has real interest in Smart/Konchar from what I know

- Why does Memphis do it? Opportunity to go all in this year. Even if Jimmy opts out in the offseason, this frees up about $22m in cap space + frees up the MLE. It’s not that Memphis doesn’t have pieces to contend long term, it’s just we need money to pay everyone in the long term (GG, Vince Williams, Santi, etc). Those guys still have to develop too (3-5 year window)

- I think it’ll come down to picks & protections + 3rd or 4th team being involved.

Memphis has been coveting these dawg mentality players for a while. We were actually about to sign Draymond Green WITH Marcus Smart on the roster. Not surprising they want Jimmy, but not going to break the bank for him.

People keep referencing European cities who went this route but we have so many people I don't see how it scales properly.

The only other place that does this with a similar population is London but their transit system doesn't seem to be steeped in corruption like ours.
