I think it would be better that the MTA had a reliable funding source through taxation of a negative extremality than the current status quo

Corruption at the MTA might be a problem, but the economics behind the program are sound
This makes no sense. Give a corrupt inept organization more money who has already demonstrated that they cannot manage or make do with previous significant sums under the falsehood of caring for the environment.

I did not know the first bit. I may not be poor but I'm an immigrant and came to America and was poor. I remember what being poor is like. It's not a foreign concept to me.

I am gonna be fine regardless I obviously know that.
So was I

And I didn't accuse you on not knowing what being poor feels like

But you are not poor now.

Your first words on the subject was complaining about it will affect your pockets, then your comment comes off like you are taking jabs at people supporting the plan, like somehow not caring about the poor

Dude, so you want the MTA defunded then? Because if your argument is they can't be trusted with this new funding, then that logic should apply to all money they get.

The MTA needs the funding one way or the other, there will be pressure to get that funding. So yeah, I think this tax structure is good method of getting it.

Let me ask, Do you commute by car into the city?

I don't think any team other than Cleveland wants to see OKC if they have home advantage.

It's loud af in the OKC arena
it is also cold af, literally a single degree outside and snowing. Also due to local blackouts i am unable to watch. I gotta gym tomorrow at 5am i know its gonna be disrespectful never mind the roads and drivers

Jalen Brown still can't dribble thats crazy
It really is man. What does that signal to the youth that you can be finals MVP and the highest paid player who brings the ball up the floor and plays on the perimeter and your handle isn't tight? But neither could Jeremy Lin, who was a point guard,
