The Official NBA Season Thread: Cavs vs Thunder was a dud

Bron played the Atlanta December game but you are correct he was questionable basically until like a few hours before tipoff. Plus he had a history of not playing in Atlanta prior to.
Memorable game on his bday a few years ago.

Oh, I know he played but with his status changing I wasn’t going to risk it. And you are correct on the history of him not playing, which helped make my decision. He would say that he was not out enjoying the Atl nightlife when he would sit out games in Atl. But, TMZ is batting 1.000% and would always come through with pictures from the night before where he was out about. Dude I know got burned several times behind that nonsense with Bron being in Atl. and paying for higher price tickets, all for nothing. He will never buy an nba ticket again.

Should have been him and Sarr 1/2 but they didn’t want to listen to me.
I could totally understand the allure of Sarr to where you squint and can maybe see a bigger JJJ variant. Very useful player.

Risacher fell more in the Keegan Murray/Cam Johnson type basket where they lean more of a 3 and D role guy to me. Also very useful, but not exactly what you ideally want in the top 3 of a draft. And he was more of a theoretical 3pt shooter too.

IMO, Castle was the only non Sarr guy that has the tools to be an all-star caliber guy if he can become something close to an average-ish shooter. Potentially elite defender, can attack the paint at a high level, good strong athlete, decent passer.

Sarr/Jalen Johnson would have fed families. Sarr has all defensive team potential right now. They goofed.
