The Official NBA Season Thread: Fries Discourse | Mavs vs Jazz

The nastiest part of situations like these is that the people that supported and played devil's advocate for Kyrie buffoonery don't like that Kyrie conceded he was wrong

What's that dude saying now? The "stand strong brother" guy from yesterday

Blows my mind Looney still can't get 30mpg, especially after his POST SEASON last year and the resting of Klay/Dray this year.

Dude was crazy for signing that 3/25

There's worse resumes in the HOF

1 ring
7x All-Star
3x All-NBA
50-40-90
Olympic Gold Medal
World Cup Gold Medal

Would be a joke if he didn't get in

Would it be?

-He plays 50% of the games
-Has torpedoed basically every team that didn't -have LeBron James' on it.
-All the Kyrie led teams have been terrible.
-His team's consistently have played as good or better without him.

Yes it would be a huge joke

Again, look at his resume

There is nothing you can take away from his accomplishments no matter how much he's been screwing up recently. He should already be a lock to get in

The HOF has nothing to do with "best leaders"

More folks mad about players not commenting and getting thousands of likes

Most of these dudes aren’t even educated enough on the topic to speak about it. If Bron made his typical contrived and empty statement then we’d roast him . We need to stop looking at athletes/entertainers to speak on social issues

Chappelle had it right

Y'all laugh at me but I wouldn't put this dude in the hall of fame.

I said years ago, and y'all can laugh but
if the goal is winning basketball games I would never take Kyrie over Kyle Lowry.

He is a highly specialized basketball player that is only helpful in highly specific circumstances

And every other circumstances he destroys your team

While only playing half the games.

The goal is to win the game.

That is a fair take in terms of taking Lowry over Kyrie, that's just preference

But to say Irving's resume isn't HOF worthy is simply not accurate, judging off other resumes already in the HOF

Again, the HOF has nothing to do with "best leader" or "best personality" or "least team destroyer"

I don't think his negatives will get as much weight as his accomplishments at the end of the day

Especially if people notice he is not getting voted in

HOF seems to be more about clearing an imaginary bar of career accomplishments, than a plus/minus analysis of your playing career
