The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

Jokic is like Lamar Jackson. Just when you think he's peaked out he comes back even better. Dude is running away with MVP early

The Wolves loss was on the coach subbing out Rudy on defense for the last possession when the other team didn’t even need a 3

It’s funny how the Celtics had the “easiest path” yet most folks were picking the Mavs to win the title with the “best backcourt in league history” and their great trade deadline acquisitions.

Kyrie and luka being called the best back court in league history is a stretch. Folks really said this?

What’s up with Copper Flagg having cramping issues in his first couple NCAA games?

Maybe he’s trying too hard to get his partying in for what presumably will be his only year of college.

Banchero had the same issue from sweating so much. He'd lose 7 lbs per game because of a condition. They gave him some liquid called BOA.

I think it might've been Windhorst that compared the Knicks to the Suns. Took them a few transaction cycles to really balance out the roster, given the apron restrictions.

Still not that concerned yet. Offense is among the league's best even with losing the 3PT math game almost every night. Defense has shown flashes of their potential.

Rotation absolutely has to open up, though.

Think Landry Shamet busting his shoulder hurt the Knicks. He looked like he was going to be an important rotation player for them in pre-season.

SVG said it on air during a game, and then became a discussion for a bit.

Most folks picking the Mavs is also a reach given that Vegas had Boston as the favorite . This underdog Celtics rebrand is crazy.
Yes, they were Vegas favorites. Majority of the talking heads we all listen to, as well as a bunch of people in here were going against that and picking the Mavs. They destroyed the Wolves, played better competition, have the 2 best players in the series, etc.

Never made much sense to me, but it was certainly happening.

Not that I remember.

But I definitely remember ESPN ranking them top 5 after last year's playoffs run.

Sorry, y’all were underdogs because NikeTalk, Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright picked against you . The people who get paid to set the lines had you as the favorites. People don’t like the Celtics. Who’s shocked that people picked against them? Some of it was definitely hoping that they’d lose. They had the best roster in the league. It’s not the underdog story you’re trying to make it.
