It seems to me the actual "sweep" part would have to occur doesnt make sense unless all of the final wins result in closing out the series.

Maybe I havent cause it doesnt happen as often as a gentlemens sweep? The Dubs had one (gentlemens) against the Mavs last year iirc.

Always thought a gentleman sweep was when a team is up 3-0, loses the next one, then finishes the series 4-1

It can be 3 games or 4 games depending on length of series(there used to be best of 5 first round in nba) IMO i just think the actual sweep part has to take place
