Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like Brooklyn has a lot of leverage in the situation. No team has enough money to sign Kyrie to a max contract in the offseason and Kyrie needs Brooklyn to facilitate a trade, or sign and trade.

Wouldn't be surprised if Brooklyn just calls Kyrie's bluff again

Bad teams wont sign him and good teams are locked in with their core. They have to get creative to unload some contracts. His best situation was brooklyn, but mgmt wants nothing to do with him after this season

They might need to sit him the rest of the season if no trade occurs.

With a normal player you likely just ride this out & hopefully come to terms, or work out a sign & trade in the summer.

But Kyrie might just stop showing up to games
