Her: "Isn't X team colors'/uniform red/blue/gold (whatever). I keep track with their Jersey"
Me: "yeah, thats their color/Jersey"
Her: "Then why are they wearing different colors/Jersey?"
Me: "well, they have home/away colors, retro day, city edition, special..."
