Was playing up to a Sixth Man of the Year level last season. Was playing fine this season, suffered a thumb injury and hasn't been able to make a shot since. Then got benched last month and hasn't played since.

This re-tweet is a bit disingenuous. Barkley is specifically referring to guys signing contracts and shortly after requesting trades with years left on the deal. Not sure of the his remaining contract situation at the time but I do know he was in Phoenix for four seasons prior to being traded to Houston but it’s not the same thing IMO.
