He wanted Russ too. Having dinner with him constantly that summer. For a guy with such high basketball IQ, I'm not sure what he was saw. He pushed for Russ.

Probably saw the Nets big 3 and felt the Lakers didn't have enough to compete against them not knowing they would collapse.

I asked in the jersey thread and they Seem to be limited. A restock would be slim. On eBay they are going for $500+. I just wish there would be more available, they can make money easily with these but they make them limited
