It’s almost like having actual NBA talent level rotation players makes a difference. The 5 guys not on the squad now are teamless or in the G-League where they should’ve been all along.

Literally no reason for OKC to not only not have gotten Gafford, but helped him get to Dallas. Then only poetic justice his first game as Mav he and PJ, both of whom scored their first baskets on alleyoops, made OKC’s tiny frontcourt rotations look like children
The style of play argument is foolish, you can always use an athletic, high motor big. You don’t gotta shoot 3s, just set the pick and rim run, catch and dunk, repeat, make yourself available in the dunkers spot.
His contract is only 2 yrs after this one at 14m or so, great value even as a backup and certainly tradeable if its not a fit
