Since the NBA cup really means nothing, how do y'all feel about this: the tournament winner gets 5 wins added & 5 losses subtracted from their end of season record.
So a team that was 50-32 would have it adjusted to 55-27. Runner up would get their record adjusted by 2 games (2 wins added, 2 losses subtracted)

You said it best, it means nothing. So there shouldn't be an inflation of regular season wins because of it. It means nothing. It's just used to spark interest during Football season. Doing that ^ would give it too much value.

Ok, let's say 3 games and 1 game for the loser. Giving it value is literally the point. The lesser teams will really scrap bc they will need those games to make the playoffs.

It kinda adds a gambling element to it, but there's literally nothing to lose, but it will increase the intensity.

And while we're at it, the shots in the last second of a quarter shouldn't count towards the shooters percentage. Players are refusing to shoot them (for understandable reasons), but it takes away from the excitement of the game.

I don't think it should be given any value other than being something that is used to spark interest in the NBA during NFL Season.

Teams should get wins and losses from regular season games. ANd it should only be 1 win and 1 loss at a time.

To your second point:
