What show/movie would y'all recommend for chilling with a shorty? Been hearing altered carbon is a good one.

Shorty had me watching portlandia with her and that ish is corny.
 
In 2 episodes into Altered Carbon and its :pimp:. I may be biased but I love Sci-fi/Dystopian stuff.

Don't sleep on Retribution it's really good, another great English/Scottish BBC gem. it's not what I expected at all (you could knock it out in a day easily...Only 4 episodes though). It's kinda like a darker Bloodline... best comparison I could think of....

Now I'm waiting on Mute, heard it's great.

I wanna watch this but I’m scared to even show the trailer to my wife...this movie looks too powerful and almost close to home, with our infertility issues and every time we go to a new specialist they find enlarged cysts in her ovaries....this **** is too ***** scary....people say life goes on when you lose your partner, hell I had to see my mother step up and move on after losing my dad at 28 years of age...but I seriously have no clue how I would go on living without mines.
 
Altered Carbon off to a good start. Will prolly binge whole thing. Feels like a series of a Black Mirror episode with Blade Runner aesthetics.
 
Started Altered Carbon. Heavy Ghost In The Shell (the anime not the White Savior Live action film), Black Mirror, Bladerunner, Matrix vibes. Currently on the 4th episode, digging it so far.
 
It ended kinda convoluted and a little lazy, like Netflix forced it to have more episodes than they really had for story. All that damn monologue. Enjoyed it overall though.

I’ve tried watching Shameless several times cause of how much everyone seems to love it but it’s try-too-hard to be as raunchy/trashy as possible IMO. I watched the first 5 episodes or so. Not sure if I need to watch more to get hooked like everybody else or what.
 
Just finished Cloverfield Paradox. Liked it but I definitely wanted more background. Not as good as 10 Cloverfield Lane imo

And just about to finish Dark. I might end up liking it more than Stranger Things.

Can't believe I've been sleeping on this.
I love the Time is a Circle theory, in General, it lines one of my favorite Films (The Arrival) of all time, and now I get a whole series to binge, that is based on that theory? Might be calling into work today.

I loved it, it was so well written, I had to watch a second time even. It was so layered some things I missed , only flaw to me was the English dubs, it's freaking 2018 and NOONE can even remotely get English dubs right, that's really a shame. :smh:

BTW don't sleep on Retribution, on second watch it seems like it got even better IMO.

Can't go wrong with Georgina Campbell, even if her role is somewhat small.
