So what’s different on the LBs and presumably Infrared pair from the turquoise, volt, royal, purple, etc. pairs?

Nothing but the colorways and box (at least for LB's).

thats probably true because karl aka iceberg have mentioned that when he posted the LBs on IG and cuz his pair is directly gifted by nike this info about the forefoot air must be true

Kicking myself that I didn’t copy your Eggplant NBY’s when you first posted them. When I finally decided to go for it a couple of the options were no longer available (mudguard window and lower eyestays). Would’ve had to do white for both of those and it just didn’t look as good.

I also cut up a worn out pair of volt recrafts and can confirm that the forefoot is nothing but foam.
