It feels like the Suns are following what the Hawks did with John Collins except that the Suns just went to the finals anchored by Ayton down low.

It’s an appearances thing. All the other good players in his class already got max extensions and none of them helped their team get to the Finals last season. He probably feels unappreciated and a bit disrespected.
