Fictionalized retellings of true life “scandals” are hot right now for both TV and film.

I’m not a fan of the genre, but apparently other people are.

That said, I’m surprised a studio thought there would be enough interest in the Sterling story to green light a project about it.

*Edit - coincidentally, related to my point above, I discovered today that a movie about Milli Vanilli is currently in production. So there you go. Anything that was ever sort of big news within the last 40 or so years seems like it could become a movie or show :lol:
Pretty much every hit podcast is getting a series or movie. Thing About Pam, The Drop Out, Tiger King, Dirty John, Serial, Aaron Hernandez…all these were popular podcasts turned into tv shows lol

ESPN put out a podcast for the whole Donald Sterling debacle and I guess it was really popular.

I just saw they made a series out of the docuseries The Staircase. Not sure why it needs a series if there’s a real time documentary about that case lol

The Jinx is the goat docuseries for my true crime aficionados.
