Dope Santi, can I get some info? I'm in Hong Kong right now and they got some fakes that are red straps...

I'm considering it too haha.

Is this a good deal? This will be my first DSLR Camera. And I was wondering is this a good camera for the price I am paying? Canon EOS XS with 18-55mm IS Lens& 75-300mm III Lens for $509.99 with no tax and free shipping? Any reviews or suggestions would be great.

I just got my 50mm f/1.8 on refurb from Adorama. Refurb just means that it was owned by someone or a shop for a minute, then Canon got it back (for whateverreason) and fixed it up nice and sent it to someone to sell. Comes with a warranty, so if anything gets screwed up you're still covered. My first DSLR wasa Nikon D40x and I bought it used and never had a problem with it. Check out KEH.com if you're willing to buy used. You might save yourself a couplehundred like I did.

Didn't you get the Nikon 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 lens with the body? If not, you may or may not want to think about canceling that order and get theNikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6from Adorama. I KNOW that the Nikon one is a solid lens, plus you get an additional 5mm for essentially the same price.

Maybe consider doing a 52week project... that's what I'm doing, two theme 52weeks actually. My thing with a picture everyday, some of my days don'thave enough hours and truthfully, some days are almost the same, I see the same buildings and roads. At least with 52week, I give myself Thur-Sun which aremore free, to travel or go out of my routine and shoot something interesting. Also, even with 52week I hate the pressure of time, deadline, but don't wantto imagine the "stress" I would feel having to find something to create daily, something interesting (doing 365)... that's just me though, because I would want to finish.

On my rebel T1i I have a stuck pixel (blue dot) in the bottom right hand corner, but it only appears when I film in 720p... any quick solutions? (I alreadytried the sensor cleaning setting)

I need help. I'm contemplating on whether to get a Nikon D5000 or a Canon T1i, can anyone help me decide which one is better? Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you have a hot pixel or a dead one. I find it strange that it's only showing up in video and only at 720p, though. If it's still underwarranty, send it to Canon. If it's not, I'd say that you're gonna have to suck it up or replace it because getting a bad sensor fixed will costyou a grip.

I had the same thing on my first T1i. Took it right back to the store and got a new one.

First time busting out my dad's D80. Never been much of a photo taker so it was a good experience. Anyone guess the city?
