Congrats on the pickup! I've been shooting with a D3200 for the past year or so and it's been awesome.
As for tips, do you have an understanding of the Exposure Triangle yet? I feel like that's one of the first things a new photographer should get a grasp on. Once you start teaching yourself about it just go out and shoot. In my opinion no amount of reading can replace actually going out and using your camera.
There are TONS of articles around the web, just look around and you'll definitely find some helpful ones.
