btw ATLaien here is a thread on POTN that can teach you alot about nightclub photography....thread is a few hundred pages deep, alot of info in the lter pages.

this is a canon forum, but when it all comes down to it, a camera is a camera, for the most part is just different button placement, nikon and canon both speak in aperture, iso, shutter language.

Actually if you want that vintage look, the key is to make the blacks lighter and add red in the blacks. You can do it photoshop when you go to select color options and go under to the blacks and boost the magenta. There is also some other stuff too but that is one of the key things.

You got a steal. I got my 1DsII for 1950 shipped. You're gonna hate yourself for not being able to afford lenses, though. Hahaha. That's the real kicker.

Lens or not...that is still way under cost. I see used Mark 2s all well over 2000. 1850 is about the cost of a 7D kit.

Last week I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a DSLR. It's a Canon Rebel XT with the kit lens. I jumped on the camera because I found an auction on eBay and the camera came with a vertical grip and six pairs of batteries. I just ordered the 50mm f1.8 II. Any shooting tips from the "NT Pros" lol on any shooting techniques you guys use.

Here are some shots I took on Sunday and today. I shot the pics in .RAW and edited them PS CS4. C&C would be greatly appreciated

To my studio/experienced photographers, how much more equipment would I need to make something like this happen? I'm guessing I'll need a white backdrop, wireless flash triggers (580 ex II), umbrellas, rental lens?
Canon XS with kit, 50mm f1.8 II, 430 ex II, tripod.

The 580 ex wouldn't be powerful enough for that kind of shot.
