I wish that lens had a more open aperture. The Leica Q seems more usable in that sense but you are paying way more also. I do like the 35mm focal range rather than a 28mm. The biggest question is would you get this over a Sony A7Rii. This camera is at least way smaller but don't think it is pocketable. Still, Sony at least dropped something interesting. All the stuff Canon released the other day looks like crap now.

I think Sony is doing something special. As you know I've had the A6000, A7ii and play around with the A7R. I love the Alpha series. This might be perfect for the traveler.

the difference between the leica q @f1.7 and the rx1rm2 @f2 is probably going to be negligible, especially given how awesome the sony sensor tend to be, i feel like people who buy leicas buy them for the all the intangible things and their general approach to building cameras, the not necessarily because they make the best cameras; but this does seem like it could steal a bit of the limelight from the leica though. at $3300 & a fixed lens, it becomes something of a niche product; it would seemingly be perfect for a 2nd camera for pros invested in other systems to have a high quality/no compromise p&s...it really doesn't compete with the a7 series, for some that it is a fixed lens make more attractive than a system camera; similar to a fuji x100t
i really wish sony or a 3rd party manufacturer would make some decent full frame pancake lenses, forget physics...it would just make the cameras that much compact, using the aps-c version on it are a bit of a cruel tease:

I bought a 28mm from them last year. Haven't had any issues with it. What are you looking for?

first time gettin that LFE (low fog event) shot...got there about 20 minutes too late so I missed getting the skyline in any of the shots I got...the hunt continues...

I know I"m about 2 days and 20 posts late on the models discussion but once I get back to snappin' I know I'll be paying models for sessions and likely smaller clothing lines will be incorporated with it until i have a plethora of pics I love. Found a real nice studio out here with some decent 5 hr session prices so all I need is lighting equipment and models

You don't have to pay for models and you don't need a studio or lighting equipment. Some of my best work came from finding local talent or on Model Mayhem and shooting on-location with a simple reflector. The thing that I think photographers forget is the purpose of getting a great shot no matter what you use. The biggest thing is to understand your camera/ settings and really understanding light. A strobe with a huge modifier will give you the same light that a overcast day will give you for free. And then you involve a model which means you have to know how to pose a model. What angles to shoot. What light is flattering. And how to get the expression you are imaging in your mind on to the model's face. Don't get caught up on the extra stuff until you're 100% comfortable shooting people. Dani Diamond is a prime example of someone who often uses natural light, a camera, and a model to get awesome results. No studio or external light source.

Dope. What time were you out there? I've only been to this area once and I want to head out there again at night or during golden hour.

whats your guy's opinion on photos with a watermark and without? i put them on for security purposes and branding because photography is a thing i do on the side. first im a musician.

Word...thanks fam. I, unfortunately got there too late (at about 6:45) and this was all I was able to get before the fog completely took over by 7:04. I ended up driving down a little bit to battery spencer and was able to get some shots down there as the fog was hovering above the bridge...I'll post a few of them later tonight.
I'll definitely hit it up again as I still want to get a shot with the fog below the bridge where you can still see the city. I also still need to hit up Mt. Tam for all the dope shots to be had there.

Damn that's early lol. I would have to leave at 5am to get some good shots lol. Speaking of the bridge I saw this one pic on Flickr of someone who was right under the bridge on the Marin side. They did a long exposure and it was really nice but I thought how the heck did they get there unless they had a boat or something. I'll try and find the pic

^^^^I used to follow a guy that had shots like that. He did all those steel wool shots there. Had someone standing on a rock while underneath it. It just looked monstrous. I know how to get to the lower side of the SF side of the bridge but maybe it's me, it just doesn't have the same effect. I think I might take a trip down there tomorrow if I have the time.

Yeah...Fort Point area. I know there is that opening on the side but I always bug out going that way since security is always there. So I always go the other route which takes way longer but I don't mind it at times.
