was gonna go for the 12 gb flash ps3, but now i gotta get the one with uncharted 3 for 270??

why not bundled with fifa? :o

There's going to be a Fifa but only in the UK and the 12gb is only for europe.

I'm guessing the new PS3 will be in bundles only until the old slim is out of stock, then we will see a proper price drop.

Here are some size comparisons.

I like the look of the new slim. :smokin

Cant wait to start playing borderlands 2 but i have to wait till the weekend:{

Damn the Slim looks huge compared to the Super Slim, and the OG PS3 is gigantic in comparison to both.

I like the new disc loading tray in the front of the Super Slim as well.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection out October 30, with Metal Gear Rising demo
Many people bought Zone of the Enders back on the PS2 solely for the included demo of Metal Gear Solid 2, the game that would go on to introduce Raiden to the world. Get ready for serious deja vu.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection, which features graphically improved versions of both Zone of the Enders and its sequel, will come with a demo of Raiden's next appearance, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, upon its newly announced October 30 release date on Xbox 360 and PS3. The demo will be available with the retail collection (and released later on its own), so keep that in mind if you're weighing the decision between packaged and digital versions.

that slide open tray top looks like it'll break over time, and just randomly open

regular slim price drop??

I was already going to buy this(still have the PS2 version of both), but that demo just sweetened the deal. :)

Yeah that's one thing that concerns me about the new setup of the Super Slim.

So it still isn't backwards compatible? Why exactly would someone want this then? Just because it’s smaller?

If that’s it i’m waiting for the slim’s price to drop and then try to pick up a used one for $100.

With the PS Store having PSOne and PS2 classics, along with HD Collections, you arent going to see a new backwards compatible system...

And if you have waited this long, why not just wait until black friday? You may be able to get a good deal.

I'm assuming that the ps1/ps2 classics are available for a price right?
It makes no sense to me to buy games that I already have just so I can play them on the game's console successor.

i believe this system has a smaller CPU/GPU so it outputs less heat and is power efficient. If someone wanted a

backwards compatible system they missed that opportunity a long time ago. Sony isnt going to make the same mistake

and release a overprice machine because of BC.

My PS3 just got the YLOD, so I haven’t really been waiting.

I just don’t see the incentive to purchase a new super slim. At least with the slim it had reduced system failure as well as running cooler and quieter. The way i see it, i’m paying an extra $100 just to have a slimmer console. Rather use that money on games. Maybe if next generation consoles were further down the pipe i’d consider a super slim, but the ps3 has what? two years before the PS4(or whatever it’s going to be called) is here? No reason to invest in a new ps3 if that’s the case.

Someone mentioned this model is cheaper for Sony to produce. That makes sense because on the consumers' side this isn’t an upgrade. This seems like the ps3 for people who don’t own one yet or have had their’s die and cant find a used slim.

Yea they’re not free, but there are a bunch of games I don’t own that I want to play. It makes no difference to me If I have a digital or hard copy.

I need to check their library again because as of about 2 years ago it was disappointing to me, but that may just be because i’m an rpg guy

I know, I’m just hoping.
