Mass Effect Trilogy in a Single Package This Fall
Plus, PS3 owners to eventually have access to the original game.

By Patrick Klepek | Sept. 26, 2012
Having all three Mass Effect games in a single package for $59.99 is one hell of a deal.

Electronic Arts and BioWare are packaging the Mass Effect trilogy as a single package this fall, giving you Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 for $59.99.

Even better, the original Mass Effect is coming to PlayStation 3. The catch? The trilogy package is coming to Xbox 360 and PC on November 6, while the PS3 compilation is “at a later date.”

In addition to a package deal, the original Mass Effect will be available as a standalone download on PlayStation Network, whenever that version is finished.

This coincides with the announcement of N7 Day on November 6, a “worldwide celebration” of the franchise that will coincide with a “variety of in-game, online and live events.”

Wow, what a great deal.

I was going to buy ME3 this fall, but I'll wait and grab this pack. Hopefully ME1 will have trophy support.

I've always wanted to see what the fuss was about over this franchise.

^

Been playing on 360 with a buddy of mine. Only reason I havent traded my 360 in. Ton of people on still, especially now that you can rent your own servers.

Game is fun, but you need to learn how to be successful with vehicles if you play Capture.

Again!? :lol

NBA Live 13 Canceled
Troubled franchise won’t be coming back just yet.
by Andrew Goldfarb SEPTEMBER 27, 2012

EA has canceled NBA Live 13. In a statement posted on the game’s official site, EA Sports executive vice president Andrew Wilson wrote “After a lot of consideration, we have made the decision to not launch NBA LIVE 13” and offered “a bit of perspective” about why.

According to Wilson, the team “knew it was going to be a long journey” when they set out to revive NBA Live, and began development in a new studio with “some of the best new technology” in order to make it happen. “But making great games is not easy,” Wilson wrote, “and we're just not there yet on NBA Live 13. Having continued to look at the game over the past few days, it's clear that we won't be ready in October. And rather than launch midway through the season, we're going to sit out the full year and stay focused on making next year’s game great.”

You may remember NBA Live as EA’s basketball franchise, which was last released as NBA Live 10. The franchise was later renamed NBA Elite, but after development troubles, NBA Elite 11 was delayed indefinitely and EA ultimately canceled it. At this year’s E3, EA announced that NBA Live would be back, showing off NBA Live 13 with a new graphics engine and signature styles for each player. Unfortunately, the game seems to have been unable to progress past that point, leading to today’s announcement.

Wilson added that the decision “puts us on the right track for success well into the future,” and that he’s “disappointed” the game hasn’t been able to meet its high expectations. “But I remain motivated about where we're going. We're committed to delivering new innovation in online, and our progress in the visual presentation of the game continues to take big strides. We also know that a great game starts with great gameplay, and this remains a huge priority for us.”

“This wasn't an easy decision, but it's the right one for our fans,” Wilson concluded. “I hope you'll agree when you're able to play the game next year.”

Sounds like the same stuff they said last year... :{

just bought the hd collection for my xbox yesterday. graphics look a $%&(ton better

i only wish they had put the original mgs in there instead of peace walker

The fact that so many people are buying these HD collections over games just shows the lack of orrigionality in the ps3 era.

And I still want nba street 2 now that is driving me nuts man
Metal Gear Rising and ZOE HD collector’s editions announced
Konami fans sit down. The publisher has revealed collector edition’s for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Zone of the Enders HD. Both were confirmed at its recent San Francisco Gamer’s Night.

So, what can you expect? MGS Rising fans will receive the game, soundtrack and a “High Frequency Plasma Lamp” that has Raiden’s blade in it. Take a look:

ZOE HD players have a less exciting package. Included is the game, soundtrack and a 100-page art book. Where’s the high-frequency lamp!?

Prices are yet to be revealed.

Thanks, IGN.
Capcom would ‘consider’ a Resident Evil 2 remake with fan support
Resident Evil 2 holds a fond place in many horror fans’ hearts, and is well overdue for an HD brush up. Capcom isn’t exactly against the idea, either.

Capcom’s Yoshiaki Hirabayashi told Gamespot that a Resident Evil 2 remake is indeed a possibility.

“If the fans really clamor for it; if there’s a groundswell of support for remaking that game, then I think that’s something Capcom would take under consideration,” he said.

Don’t take that as any sort of confirmation, as he prefaced it with a flat-out denial.

“Just to lay all the cards on the table, that way there’s no rumour-mongering or things like that, no, we are not working on a Resident Evil 2 remake as of now.”

Resident Evil 6 revisits the urban US setting familiar to series fans, suggesting Capcom knows how much we miss Resident Evil 2′s mean streets. It’s due in November on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version to follow.

I and many others I know missed most of the PS2 generation so a lot of the HD collections are ways for me to catch up. Others simply want to replay their favourite games or boost their trophy count and it's a nice cash grab for the publishers as well.

i think the fact of 1 game for $60 or 3 games for $40 makes a big difference

Yes that plays a part. But I think the Internet has been very bad for the ps3 in a way. I'm so tired of all the FPS games.

I enjoy a one player game. I want to play on my own pace and get a good story too.

Plus platformers have been terrible for the most part

If there is no DLC, you have to think they dropped the ball regarding the character slots especially with two Cole McGrath's
PlayStation All-Stars: No More New Characters
Don’t expect any more new fighters to be announced for launch.
by Andrew Goldfarb
September 28, 2012

Sony has revealed that no more characters will be announced for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’s launch. In a post on Twitter, PlayStation Blog senior social media specialist Sid Shuman wrote that “We have revealed the full launch lineup of characters,” confirming that All-Stars will ship with 20 fighters.

Keep in mind that All-Stars could easily add additional characters via downloadable content, so this doesn’t necessarily mean the roster will stay at 20 forever. For now, though, at launch you’ll have the following options:

Big Daddy
Cole MacGrath
Evil Cole MacGrath
Colonel Radec
Dante
Fat Princess
Heihachi Mishima
Jak and Daxter
Kratos
Nariko
Nathan Drake
PaRappa the Rapper
Raiden
Ratchet and Clank
Sackboy
Sir Daniel Fortesque
Sly Cooper
Spike
Sweet Tooth
Toro

No Crash Bandicoot, no Spyro, no Gabe Logan among others that could have easily made the roster.

crash and spyro easily?

activision help sony?  you must be kidding

theyre not putting THEIR characters on any game thats not on or also on 360

PS2 was a good system and had some sick games.  When PS4 rolls around ppl will still be asking for remakes for PS1 and PS2 games.

Still want some Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts remakes and a whole bunch of other games..

Will there be a Buy one get one 1/2 off or buy 2 get one free soon? Because I need Fifa 13 and NBA 2k13 and don't want to pay full price.

As THI said already, Sony don't own the IP for Spyro and Crash otherwise we would have seen in the roster and probably in their own games this gen.

Also I don't see why having Good and Evil cole is a problem. Street Fighter's has Evil Ryu in a few games and his moveset is different to normal Ryu. Anyone who's played inFamous will know it's like that for good and evil Cole. They have very different moves.

As for the roster I'm happy with it. I think the main PS characters are in there and that's what is most important but I would have loved some final fantasy characters like Cloud and Squall and also Kat from Gravity Rush.
I think once people saw third party characters the floodgates opened as to who could potentially be in the game but that just set them up for dissapointment once the final roster was shown
