The Official PlayStation 3 | ViTA Thread Vol. Plenty of Life Left

:eek Looks like UbiSoft put that three years into good use.

Yeah, they already have DLC made, but instead of just giving it to you on disc, they're going to make you pay extra. :eek Awesome!!!

There's fewer things a game can do wrong than announce DLC before the damn game even comes out.

That George Washington DLC  for ACIII looks intriguing.

That season pass though.

I hope another single player campaign is included in the AC III DLC because I can't see myself paying $30 for just the George Washington DLC since I don't play multiplayer like that.

On another note, any of y'all copped the Super Slim? I planned to get the 500GB Assassin's Creed III bundle that drops at the end of the month especially with my Slim acting up now.

NiGHTS Into Dreams ($9.99)
Slip off into the dream world and go on an aerial adventure as NiGHTS in this classic Saturn remake. Collect Ideya (colored orbs), rack up points, and battle bosses to help Elliot and Claris save Nightopia from Wizeman the Wicked. With all 7 original dreams, enhanced graphics, achievements, leaderboards, and playable content from Christmas NiGHTS, this beloved title is back and better than ever.
ESRB: E – Everyone // File Size: 1.98 GB

Guess I'm the only one excited for this... :lol

I don't mind DLC when its well executed and Assassins Creed games are long games to begin with so most people won't be touching it anytime soon.

The only foul up on their part is announcing it before the game dropped. I don't see what the big deal is in making people pay for it. Its an alternate history campaign that's not related to the main storyline. What's the problem? Where were the complaints for the various Rockstar story based DLCs?

I just listened to the XCOM interview on Podcast Beyond... I had no idea it was a strategy RPG. :eek

Im kind of excited now.

Yeah it would.
IGN ranks it 32
Games Radar ranks it 18
Game Informer inexplicably omitted it from their top 100.
It's the 3rd highest rated PS2 game on Metacritic. 2nd highest gamecube game.
It's a classic, no doubt about it.

This. :| @ it wouldn't crack top 50.

Empire, pick it up asap. Last RE worth playing.

I had no idea RE 4 was good. I thought after Veronica it sucks.

I still haven't beaten the OG Chris campaign. Tried twice. Maybe try again in 3 years I'm not doing that again.

RE4 was on Gamecube, PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, was it on the OG xbox too?

of course its a great game

I think that I must be one of the few lucky people that still has an OG FAT 60gb. I did replace the HD with a 128gb SSD though.

Yup, game was amazing.

Just got the platinum the other day, can't wait for DLC.

Anyone else picking up Dishonored on Tuesday? I have a feeling its going to be GOTY.

on the Dishonored note, Ebgames Canada has a promo - Buy dishonored during the release week and return it and they will minus a dollar a day you had it. So basically u get to rent the game for a dollar a day.

^^ Yup only game right now. Ever since Futureshop up their trade in offers, Ebgames has been trying new stuff.

Still buying the game at Futureshop, but will pick up a copy at Ebgames for their preorder bonus.

Ive been waiting for EB to do that promo they had last year where you could basically have a game for a week, and trade it in for a listed game for no extra charge.

The Unfinished Swan becomes visible on PSN Oct. 23, a week earlier on Plus
The-Unfinished-Swan.jpg

The Unfinished Swan, a sort of first-person puzzle game in which you navigate by splattering the uniformly white world with paint, will arrive on PSN for PlayStation Plus members on October 16 in North America. The wider PSN release will occur one week later on October 23. In Europe, the Plus release will happen on October 17, followed by the full PSN release on October 24.

The developer diary above discusses the premise of the game, and how developer Giant Sparrow got involved with Sony. Mercifully, it also explains the title.

Resistance Collection bundles all three PS3 Resistance games for $40
resistancecollection.png

Look, times are tough in America and now, more than ever, game-buying people all over the country are asking themselves "How many space bugs will I get to murder for the money I'm spending?"

Sony's and Insomniac's newly announced Resistance Collection for the PS3 has a remarkably high bug-murder-to-cost ratio, packing Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, Resistance 3 and "the best DLC" for Resistances 2 and 3 into one $39.99 package. The Aftermath Pack and skin bundle for Resistance 2 and the Brutality and Survival packs for Resistance 3 are the only DLC specifically mentioned by name, though whether that represents the full extent of the included content remains uncertain.

Release date and various further information will be made available "in the coming weeks," according to the PlayStation Blog. For now, maybe consider saving $20 and just buying the good one.
Hell of a deal. Will you buy?

If someone never played the series, I'd recommend it to them with the exception of Resistance 3. I didn't like it. R2 was the peak of the series and one of the best games on the PS3 period imo.
