I would have to imagine that deal was done a long time ago, before this gen really got going.
We know MS paid them but I don't think low sales was part of the plan, especially since they're trying to rebuild the franchise.
I didn't say nobody will care but by the time it comes out on the PS4 it will be a year away, you won't get the same marketing push as the original and it would be old news. They will need to either sell it at a lower price or add some DLC to it or something.
Same thing happened with Bioshock which came out on the 360 first and then a year later on PS3 and it sold terribly on the PS3. Unlike Tomb Raider though, it didn't sell bad initially.
Overall I agree, they will be fine since the definitive edition of the first game did well and since MS paid them but as far as sales goes, I don't think it would sell close to what the first did which is going backwards.

What's the stats on the PS3/4 sales? I didn't know it sold crazy on PS4 because wasn't it a PSN game one month? I may be mistaken but I think it might of been when there were some struggle games as usual with GWG.

I know we got that temples of Osiris game for PS+ but I don't think we got TR on PS+ the only triple A game I think we got on PS4 has been injustice and the infamous First Light DLC that was a standalone title

I'm definitely bummed that tomb raider didn't release on the ps4. I grabbed it on the Xbox but I usually get my single player games on the ps4. Ps4 is just a better console.

Nah it was TR, it was March of 2014. Xbox didn't get it until recently for GWG. But it was a smarter move, closer to the ROTR release.

it is but Xbox has it beat with the networking aspect.PS4 outperforms the Xbox with actual game play and ps exclusive games are absolutely beautiful.
I also enjoy the UI of the PS over the Xbox. Simplicity over too much.

The UI isn't bad but I wish you could like folders or something for games. If you have a lot of games you have to do a lot of scrolling. I have never gotten the full experience with the PS UI however because I not as familar with the voice commands.
The new Xbox UI was a major makeover but I got use to it quickly. Rather the 360 UI over all of these. I miss it lol.

TR was free on Xbox 360 in 2014. That's the only reason I bothered to play, had no interest in the game prior to.

That's just UK sales but the splits were similar in other countries.
I think they added more commands with one of the last updates.

That's still crazy even tho that's UK numbers but it kind of makes sense. 1 player games don't feel right on Xbox, even tho I love ROTR streaming it and talking with 1-2 viewers give me extra special feeling while playing it.

maybe someone knows whats up with my ps4..........so basically it works perfectly fine except that when i , for example i turned my ps4 off last night , it will be off until about 1 am tonight because i work until midnight when i start it up "cold" it will startup , freeze / turn off about 3-5 seconds after showing welcome to the playstation blue screen , after the freeze it turns off on its own , then i turn it on through the power button , it will turn blue then turn off , turn it on again with my hand , blue and then off , the third time it will turn on , start up and say it was turned off improperly the last time it was used and it checks the system storage , resets and then it works PERFECTLY FINE , like literally ill play cod or 2k for 6+ hours sometimes and absolutely no problems , can even reset the system and it will turn right back on like nothing ....its really strange because it works absolutely fine everything works except the original startup after being off for more than an hour takes about 10 minutes

Try rebuilding the database
Firstly power off your console, using either the power button or by removing the power source.
To turn on the PS4 into Safe mode, Press and Hold down the power button on the front of the PS4, until the console beeps twice (once immediately, then another after a few seconds of holding)
Connect your Dual Shock remote via USB cable.
Press the PS button on the controller to pair devices.
Go to option “5. Rebuild Database” and press X
The database will be rebuilt, it might take a few hours to rebuild the database” will be displayed, Select OK.
The screen will go blank whilst the Database is being rebuilt and this could take a few hours depending on the amount of saved content.
When the Rebuild has finished the console will return to the sign in screen.
