The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

i copped the remastered GTA III and Vice City and these games bring back so many memories. the radio stations are too flames

Ubisoft has once again hood winked us, first Watch Dogs, now this, The Division. It looks NOTHING like the E3 vids we saw last year, NOTHING. I don't care how early in development it is, what they showed/played at E3 last year was an 'early build' and looked waaaay better [emoji]128529[/emoji]
Here's a bit more if you haven't seen this video yet.

So it's kinda like destiny and Borderlands now. I'm mildly interested. :lol

Vice City soundtrack >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Division looks like it'll be fun but I'm a bit worried on the motivations to keep me playing.

Why do I need better gear besides beating the story and needing better gear to get better gear?

There's no traditional PvP so once I've burnt through the story there's no real motivation anymore.

People in here calling WoW, one of the biggest game of all time, one of the biggest player bases of all time, that had all walks of life from celebrities, musicians, lawyers, bankers, your weed man, your mailman, and even your doctor, with player ages ranging from 10-80, mother ******* NICHE.

Please just stop. Over 100 MILLION people played WoW. Yet it "wasn't a game anyone could pick up". Yeah... OK.

I get a lot of you are wet for Destiny and are having a great time with it but the actual numbers with what you guys are claiming in terms of popularity are not actually reflective to your levels of homerism.

Best MP experience of all time? I personally disagree.

It's certainly not the best designed.

In terms of fun? I almost wish Nawghty was still here so he could hit you over the head with paragraphs about Mario Kart (whichever version you prefer), Mario Party, Smash Bros and Goldeneye.

I'm kinda shocked no one mentioned League, DOTA, or Starcraft as well in the debate. Maybe the huge competitive scene and high learning curve make it too niche for you guys :lol

Oh I missed the debate. I didn't even know that people were claiming that :lol

Destiny is definitely a great game though.

I play Dota Daily. I find it fun. Took me a couple hundred hours to learn everything though. :lol :\

But bro, friendships have been broken over Destiny.

strange how u know what the definition of niche is only at the end of your post. i usually agree with u, but again, somehow u guys are confusing "unpopular" or "small interest" with the word niche. u say everyone played it then end the post with theres a huge competitive scene with a high learning curve. yea. niche. specialized. segmented. niche.

Na, I think you're just calling it niche because it's not appealing to you or the people that you know.

so. the game has not carved out a huge segment for itself? u think its universal? im indifferent to the game. i dont care about it at all. but that has nothing to do with whether something is universal or niche. u guys got ur du-rag capes flapping for it but, english is english. and facts are facts. the game found its niche. and thrived. i dont see whats so hard to admit. u got a game developer in the post above u talking about everyone plays it then lists the barriers of entry and states it has a high learning curve lol. i dont get it. yall acting like this is a game for just anybody. like dude above said, its a core gamer market. the same people who complained about destiny not being mmo enough. thats who wow is for lol.

Must be nice having a core gamer market of 100 million people.
that 100 million yall keep throwing around is interesting since didnt their commercials boast about having 10 million active subscribers? where this 100 mill at? regardless, yes.... it must be VERY nice to have a market of 100 million. thats definitely a top achievement in gaming.

I'm not sure, I've actually never seen a WoW commercial, :lol

But yea, 10M active subs sounds about right.

I know @ its peak, it was around 12M and I think now it's around 6M.

When they say 100M it's referring to the amount of accounts created in total.

Yea, I actually don't even have a TV @ my place here in Vegas.

I only watch TV when I'm visiting friends in NY.

Only WoW "commercial" I've seen was the WoW movie trailer when I went to see Star Wars, :lol
