A guy I used to work with played EVE Online and that had the wildest stories.I mean, they held a damn funeral for a dudes character in World of Warcraft when homie died in real life...
Destiny MP is good but it's not as groundbreaking as some of you are making it seem.
Raids have been a part of games for a while now.
Funny because I'm about to fire up Destiny right now,
Things like another alliance coming to your house and cutting your power during a space battle
I get what you're trying to say but WoW at it's peak had over 10 million subscribers and even though that's decreased it's still had the highest amount of subs. Can't call that niche.

I mean outside of Destiny (which has been out over a year longer than RB6) having a larger fan-base. You've proven nothing other than the fact that you think Destiny is a great game.

I mean there's also PvP and the raids are filled with all kinds of annoying puzzles and they did add sparrow racing which was kind of cool.....but sure ALL that you do in Destiny is shoot the same enemies over and over again. Absolutely nothing else to do whatsoever. Nope, not a damn thing.

For me, I have to judge Destiny based off of the base game that launched in 2014. That game just didn't click for me. Even with the TTK, I see friends who play all the time and it makes me want to try it again but then I'm reminded of the base game and I just move on. I did do the raid once and it was fun but doing the same 2-3 (?) raids over and over would bore me. I'd rather just fire up FF XIV and have access to multiple raids and dungeons etc.

Share the same feelings as you Centex I can't get passed what was given in 2014 to commend the game for anything when it needed it's consumers to pay for DLC locked on the game just to have a reason to play it

Sidebar Powerline users do you have a video or anything for setting it up, with the PLug and Play I am getting less speed than my wireless. I am looking around for a video but can't seem to find one that digs in, all the guys are doing is plug and play. Do i need to set up Port Forwarding or anything? Link any videos if possible. Thanks!

even tho wow sold like crazy, it sold to a NICHE of gamers. it was not just a game anyone could (or even wanted to) pick up. thats what i mean when i say niche. it wasn't universal. in fact, the stereotype for wow players was reclusive basement dwelling gamers lol. of course that wasn't true, but that is just to futher illustrate how it wasn't universal. destiny was. if u liked shooters, u wanted to try it. if u didnt like shooters u wanted to try it. if u didnt like video games... u still wanted to try it.Use that time wisely

Well Activision did a hell of a job promoting Destiny which is why everyone wanted to try it, it sure as hell wasn't the review scores

WoW didn't just sell that much, these were 10 million + active subscribers paying $15 per month. You can't call that niche.
I get what you're saying though, basically, WoW was more for the hardcore gamers while Destiny with Activisions marketing is more casual friendly so anyone from the core gamers to the casual gamers would have heard about it and would want to try it.

nailed it. and niche does NOT mean small. it seems like everyone thinks niche means small portion. a niche can be any size. its just
"a distinct segment of a market." or "pertaining to or intended for a market niche; having specific appeal: niche advertising."
so yea ddouble that is EXACTLY what im saying. any and everyone wanted to at least try destiny. college professors cracking jokes talking about dont skip out on exams for destiny. that game was literally EVERYWHERE

Ubisoft has once again hood winked us, first Watch Dogs, now this, The Division. It looks NOTHING like the E3 vids we saw last year, NOTHING. I don't care how early in development it is, what they showed/played at E3 last year was an 'early build' and looked waaaay better [emoji]128529[/emoji]

I'll wait for the beta to I judge for myself. YT videos sometimes can be misleading. Biggest thing for me is content. I want to ensure there's plenty to do. Uncharted 4 is dropping 2 weeks later so I most likely won't cop The Division until I plat UC4 first.
